VivaTech 2026 opens with the first-ever Saudi pavilion. Why international tech should walk it.

VivaTech, Europe’s flagship technology event, opens on 17 June 2026 for its tenth anniversary edition at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The 2026 edition features a Saudi Arabia pavilion for the first time in the event’s history, alongside new pavilions for Singapore, Oman, Korea, and Japan.
The scale of the 2026 edition
50+ national pavilions, a 20% increase on the 2024 edition. 15,000 start-ups in the exhibitor zone. 1,500+ live demonstrations on the floor. 165,000 attendees expected across the four days. Hall 7 of Porte de Versailles is the central venue.
Saudi Arabia’s first pavilion
Saudi Arabia’s tech delegation at VivaTech historically operates through Monsha’at, the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, which programmes Saudi presence at international technology events. The 2026 delegation is expected to feature the cohort of PIF-backed and PIF-adjacent Saudi technology scale-ups that have been the focus of Saudi market development: Rewaa in retail technology, SiFi in financial technology, Telgani in mobility, Webook in events and ticketing, Soum in marketplace and resale.
Why this matters for international technology firms
international technology firms generally encounter the Saudi market in one of two ways. Through European clients that have Saudi operations and ask for support across the region. Or through targeted business-development trips to Riyadh, Jeddah, or NEOM.
The first-ever Saudi pavilion at VivaTech changes the geometry. For four days, the densest concentration of Saudi technology decision-makers in Europe will be on the floor at Porte de Versailles. That includes the Monsha’at programme team, the Saudi scale-up CEOs, the PIF and HUMAIN partnership development teams, and Saudi corporate technology buyers who travel the conference circuit.
This is a reconnaissance window. For international software firms, applied artificial intelligence firms, and deep tech firms that have not yet mapped Saudi counterparts and Saudi buyers, walking the pavilion this week is the most efficient sector audit available in 2026.
The Vision Golfe overlap
The Vision Golfe bilateral forum at the French Ministry of Economy at Bercy runs on 18 and 19 June, overlapping with VivaTech on the 18th and 19th. The same Saudi delegations move between the two venues. Vision Golfe is structured around six priority sectors that map onto the Public Investment Fund’s strategic ecosystems, with artificial intelligence and smart mobility prominent on the agenda.
For international firms that want a single trip to surface both the consumer-facing technology side and the institutional, bilateral side, the 17 to 20 June window is the highest density French-Saudi business week of 2026.
